Casa Solana
Casa Solana is a recently renovated house in a typical Spanish white village. English is not widely spoken in the village, but the coast is not far away which does have English influences if required.
So if a holiday in 'true Spain' sounds like something that you would be interested in then Casa Solana would be a great base. Don't hesitate to contact us if you need more information.
The Location
Located within the Province of Granada, Andalucia's Lecrin Valley (Valle de Lecrin) is perfectly situated between the historical city of Granada and the coastal towns of Motril and Salobreņa. In early summer the hillsides turn into an amazing display of contrasting colours with the rich red of the poppies and the vivid lush green of the pastures. All this is set against the backdrop of the snow capped Sierra Nevada Mountains. Overlooking the city of Granada is the impressive Alhambra Palace, which stands out as the most famous example of Moorish architecture and is a must see when visiting this area.

The Lecrin Valley is home to many small white villages (or pueblos blancos), many dating back to Moorish times when the Moors once inhabited them after the reconquest of Granada in 1492 by the Catholic Monarchs. Totally surround by almond, orange and lemon trees is the village of Cozvíjar where Casa Solana is located.
